"Uhm..." Isaac paused for a moment and then corrected himself, "Esther, I hope you don't mind me asking, but how much longer do you think you have to live?"
As soon as he asked the question, he realized it might not have been appropriate.
Esther just mentioned that she felt like she was living a second life that matched his current age.
Isaac's question, "How much longer do you have to live?" was considered impolite. Esther, however, didn't get upset. Instead, she just smiled.
"Freddie is a generation older than me. Even though I've lived another lifetime, that only changed the age of my body, the maximum lifespan of the soul hasn't changed. In another one or two thousand years, I'll also grow old and die," Esther replied.
