The two officers felt their lips twitching in amusement. However, neither one of them went up to stop the old lady from jumping.
The old lady sheepishly looked at Sally, who was completely ignoring her. So, the old lady made another fuss about climbing onto the windowsill. But once she stuck her head out of the window and saw how far up she was, she started to have second thoughts.
In the end, the old lady slid to the floor with her back against the wall and slapped her thighs as she wailed loudly, "Why is this happening to me? Why?"
She didn't dare to jump. That meant she had to pay up, somehow or other.
Isaac walked up to Isabella and squatted down, telling her in a low voice, "When you're dealing with bad people like them, remember that you shouldn't give in to their whims. Do you understand now?"
