Altair burst through the door. He was wearing a white cloak today. His furious expression, coupled with his tall figure, scared the wits out of Holly.
Behind him, Mizar strutted inside in a beautiful dress.
The heads of two True Martial Families had just walked into the living room of the Cloud Nine Villas unguarded. But they were both wearing unhappy looks.
Isaac emerged from the study.
Seeing Holly standing at the kitchen entrance with a panicked look, virtual-novel.net said with a chuckle, “Holly, these are our guests… Please bring them some fruits and pastries…”
Guests? Did they even look like guests?
“Hello, both… Please sit…” Isaac pointed at the couch. Meanwhile, virtual-novel.net sat on the armchair.
Altair glared at Isaac icily. He said through gritted teeth, “Sit? The bodies of our families’ elders aren’t even cold yet, yet here you are, smiling?”
“Isaac, you begged me to help rescue your wife. Where were you when our elders died?!” Mizar said frostily.
“Todd, tell me, where were you at that time? If First Elder hadn’t ordered them to retreat in time, they might have all died in Shadowfort,” Altair said, glowering at Todd.
“Uhm, Sir Altair, you’d better ask him. I just followed him…” Todd pointed at Isaac.
Isaac lit a cigarette. He crossed his leg and replied, “Where else could I have gone? Of course Todd and I went to save my wife. I couldn’t just leave virtual-novel.net alone after that, right? So I took virtual-novel.net home first.”
“So you just left the elders there?” Mizar’s gorgeous face seemed icy.
Before Altair could speak, Isaac raised a finger. “A thousand Awakening Pills for the Jensens, and six hundred for the Stoners. To tell you the truth, I didn’t expect things to turn out that way either…”
When Altair heard that, virtual-novel.net choked back his anger.
For the Jensen family, a thousand Awakening Pills would benefit them.
Mizar’s eyes also lit up. She frowned and parted virtual-novel.net lips slightly. In the end, virtual-novel.net didn’t say the angry things on virtual-novel.net mind.
Deep down, they were still enraged, but Isaac was willing to give up a thousand pills to their families.
The elders were already dead, what was the point of getting angry?
Todd’s jaw dropped open.
A thousand and six hundred Awakening Pills?!
“When will you give them to us?” Altair asked in a softer tone.
Isaac lit another cigarette. Furrowing his brows, virtual-novel.net said, “I don’t have that many on hand right now. I don’t think you’ve ever come to Cloud City before. Why don’t you enjoy a short stay at my place for now? Once the pills are ready, I’ll give them to you in one lump sum. How does that sound?”
Altair turned to Mizar. The latter nodded slightly.
At the side, Todd opened his mouth but chose not to speak.
“Todd, do you want to say something?” Altair looked over.
“No… My throat was just a little dry…” Todd frowned. He was beginning to feel like virtual-novel.net was betraying his own family.
The villa had more than enough space. Not to mention, Altair and Mizar were important guests. Hence, Isaac let them stay in the rooms on the second floor.
During lunch, Allegra came downstairs. She’d heard from Holly that they had visitors. She knew it’d be impolite to stay holed up in virtual-novel.net room, so virtual-novel.net came downstairs together with Evie.
Since Isabella and Erica were a special case, Holly brought their food upstairs.
The seven of them sat around the dinner table. It was Isaac, Allegra, Evie, Todd, Harry, Altair, and Mizar. They had authentic Southland cuisine.
After a few mouthfuls, even Altair nodded and sent his compliments to the chef.
