Old Brooks gathered all the heads and those ranked above on the fifth floor for an urgent briefing.

He told them he was going out of town with Isaac and wasn't sure when he would return. In his absence, his cousin, Zephyr Brooks, would be managing all his businesses and related affairs in Southland in his place.

Those who had been with him from the start weren't satisfied.

Zephyr had joined much later. Evert though he was Old Brooks' cousin, it wasn't acceptable for him to move up the ladder before them. However, they were aware of the events that led to Old Brooks' title as "King of the Underground World". So, when Old Brooks used Isaac as an excuse, no one dared to display dissatisfaction.
