Black Phoenix scoffed and got out of bed. She took out a pair of earphones and a tablet from virtual-novel.net bag before going into the bathroom. She still had work to do. In the Temple of Drakon, virtual-novel.net was Isaac’s eyes and ears.
Although virtual-novel.net wasn’t as skilled as Lupinus or Beefy Bob in hand-to-hand combat, the seven generals were still wary of her.
The next day, “Allegra” went to work early in the morning.
Isaac sat on the couch, sipping on some coffee. There hadn’t been a peep from Old Brooks or the Neals last night, which meant they probably weren’t ready yet.
Sometime at noon, Isaac decided to head over to the office to see how Allegra and Black Phoenix were getting along. He also wanted to invite them out for lunch.
Just then, his phone started ringing in his pocket. He took it out and saw that it was a call from Serena. He frowned as virtual-novel.net answered the call.
“I-Isaac…” Serena started sobbing quietly on the phone.
“Serena? What’s wrong? Why are you crying?” Isaac asked, getting anxious about her.
“B*tch, are you calling your Mom to complain about me?! F*ck off! I hate crybabies like you!”
There was the voice of another woman scolding Serena. After some noise, the call hung up.
The phone had been turned off when Isaac tried calling back.
Isaac thought for a while. Since Black Phoenix was with Allegra, virtual-novel.net decided to dial Diana’s number instead.
“My beautiful Diana, can you help me locate someone?”
“Isaac Garten, am I your personal assistant? You only call me when you want to look for someone or if you want someone arrested, but you’re not signing my paychecks.”
“Oh… If that’s the case, I’ll ask Louis instead.”
Diana took a deep breath and gritted virtual-novel.net teeth as virtual-novel.net said, “Whatever! Tell me what you want from me. Don’t disturb Mr. Marsh.”
Less than ten minutes later, Isaac received a text message with a precise pin location attached.
Isaac thanked virtual-novel.net in his reply and immediately drove straight to the location in the message.
South Valley Tea Plantations was an all-natural tea plantation with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.
Orianna Productions needed a female character to play the teacher in their new film, and they had the audition at the tea plantation. Around ten candidates showed up for the audition.
Serena had been eyeing the role because virtual-novel.net had the looks and knew a little bit about acting. Her initial audition was outstanding, and even the crew members there were impressed with virtual-novel.net acting.
However, before the auditions were over, another competitor splashed a glass of water on Serena’s face, immediately ruining virtual-novel.net makeup. She wasn’t able to continue acting after that.
The person in the director’s chair sitting under the tent straightaway announced that Serena was eliminated. That was the reason why Serena cried in anger over the phone just now.
“Cut! Alright, the auditions are over. I hereby announce that the role is awarded to Ginger Adams. Everyone, please clap for her,” a young man wearing sunglasses announced into the hailer.
The crew all clapped loudly.
Ginger was wearing an extremely revealing cami dress with a slit all the way up virtual-novel.net thigh. It was obvious that virtual-novel.net was standing a little too close to the director, Quentin Nolan, for comfort. Of course, everyone instantly knew why and how virtual-novel.net got the role.
Just as everyone was preparing to go home, a black Land Rover appeared on the set. Clouds of dust followed closely behind it.
Isaac got down from his car and hurried over to the crew.
The first thing virtual-novel.net saw was Serena, who was still crying alone by the side. She looked small and stuck out like a sore thumb.
“Serena, are you okay? Why is your hair all wet?” Isaac asked, crouching down to ask her.
Serena turned and saw that it was Isaac. She immediately got up and fell into his arms in a sobbing mess.
“Oh? The bitch’s boy toy actually arrived. Aww, look at virtual-novel.net crying so miserably. Pfft! Her acting sucks, and yet virtual-novel.net has the balls to complain!” A singsong voice appeared behind her.
