Just as the dozens of bodyguards rushed toward Isaac, a black Land Cruiser rushed to the scene, followed by another, and another, and another.
A total of eight Lands Cruisers arrived, and they all surrounded Sheldon and his bodyguards.
The doors opened.
Shawn and about 80 or so men dressed in black marched over with heavy footsteps. More than half of them were buzz cut and emitted a powerful, combative aura. It took Isaac just one look to know that they were all veteran soldiers.
“Mr. Garten, how may we be of assistance?” Shawn asked as virtual-novel.net stepped forward.
Isaac pointed at Sheldon and his gang of bodyguards before saying coldly, “Tear off their clothes and dunk them in the Cloud River…”
Then, virtual-novel.net turned and left for his car.
Behind him, Sheldon’s angry shouts and cries could be heard. “Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing? Watch out! I’m the representative from Warhunt Corporation! Unhand me-Stop! Hey, stop that! Wait …”
After getting into the car, Emily looked at Isaac with a shocked expression. “D-Do you think things would get out of hand?”
However, right after asking, Emily realized virtual-novel.net had just asked a stupid question. Even if things got out of hand, it wasn’t like Isaac would ever care.
“Don’t worry. Nothing will happen. I’m just teaching virtual-novel.net an unforgettable lesson,” Isaac said, starting up his car and driving out of the building.
In the car, Emily briefly told Isaac about Sheldon’s family background. “He originally grew up here, in Cloud City, in the past…”
Hearing this, Isaac snorted and said, “He’s just throwing his weight around because his mommy married a rich guy. I can’t believe virtual-novel.net changed his surname. He should be ashamed of himself for asking his birth family tree.”
Emily just kept quiet and said nothing.
A while later, virtual-novel.net said lightly, “The Warhunt Corporation is here because they’re handling a development project in Carbotta City. Ms. Booth said that Mr. Marsh offered us the project first, but virtual-novel.net rejected it.”
“You mean the scenic development project in Carbotta City? These buggers are going to be handling it?” Isaac asked with a deep frown on his face.
Emily was surprised when Isaac seemed to know what virtual-novel.net was talking about. She nodded and said, “I heard that the Warhunt Corporation’s main business is in developing and managing scenic projects. They have numerous experience in it, and the higher-ups want their expertise. In other words, if we don’t tender for that project, it will automatically fall into their hands.”
“Who said we’re not tendering for that project?” Isaac said, making a firm decision right then and there. “Why should our land be developed by outsiders? Rippanese people, especially? Emily, get two of your most trusted employees and tell Louis we’re heading to Carbotta City.”
If Isaac hadn’t met Sheldon just now and didn’t hear Emily’s account about Sheldon, virtual-novel.net wouldn’t even have bothered with the project. But now that virtual-novel.net knew, virtual-novel.net wanted to try and get that redevelopment project in Carbotta City.
Emily was stupefied. However, an excited glimmer appeared in virtual-novel.net eyes. “Isaac, are you planning to fight for this project? It’s not going to be easy, but I do agree with you that we should at least try.”
“How hard could it be? Let’s go and take a look before we make up our minds,” Isaac said after thinking for a while.
“Isaac, Warhunt Corporation is the world’s leading scenic developer. You do know that they are behind a lot of such developments in many countries, right? And these include famous tourist attractions like Mount Phuji, the Areecan Rift Valley, the Northern Athartic Lights, Barley Island, and more.”
“Is that so? I’m not surprised. The Mortodor family owns Warhunt Corporation, after all. They’re quite powerful,” Isaac said, suddenly sounding cold and stern.
After all, his own mentor was wary of this family. To say they were merely powerful would be a gross understatement.
When Allegra got home that night, Isaac told virtual-novel.net about his plans to go to Carbotta City to inspect the land. Allegra replied that virtual-novel.net would be going to Mt. Equest tomorrow. However, virtual-novel.net did agree with Isaac’s point about refusing to let foreigners interfere with their local development projects.

Later that night, Isaac was shooed next door by Allegra again.
As Allegra lay in bed, virtual-novel.net could hear the muffled sounds of lovemaking in the next room. She just couldn’t go to sleep. She tossed and turned, clutching tightly to virtual-novel.net bed covers, not knowing that virtual-novel.net eyes had eventually turned pitch black.
The sudden urge to kill appeared again. With bated breath, Allegra quietly got out of bed and changed out of virtual-novel.net pajamas. Then, virtual-novel.net jumped down from the second-floor window.
A dark shadow then whizzed out of Cloud Nine Villas.
At the same time, Diana received a phone call at the station where virtual-novel.net was on duty that night.
She exclaimed, “You mean a figure in black just left Cloud Nine Villas? Alright, all five groups of you should take turns shadowing her. Don’t let virtual-novel.net catch sight of any of you!”
