Evie, who was reading a book on the sofa, raised her head.
When she saw Allegra's red eyes, she asked, "Ally, what's wrong? Isaac seemed upset..."
"I-It's nothing. Let me give Isabelle a bath first," Allegra replied. She carried Isabelle and went upstairs.
In the bathroom, the little girl kept clinging to Allegra's arm. She mumbled about not wanting her parents to be separated. Reluctance was evident in her words and expression.
