Todd was sleeping on a chair at the side when Asher walked in with two cloaked men. He opened his eyes to peek, then closed them again as if virtual-novel.net had seen nothing.
Isaac’s eyes blazed with hatred at the sight of his enemy.
Staring coldly at Asher, virtual-novel.net said, “What are you doing here? Do you want to die?”
It was the Ashleigh clan’s fault that Isabella, Erica, and Harry were poisoned.
When Isaac remembered that fact, virtual-novel.net wanted to kill them all.
“Haha, what’s the matter, Isaac? Is this how you welcome your guests? It’s fine if you don’t serve me any coffee. After all, I’m here to give you good news,” Asher said with a big laugh.
He cast a glance at the sleeping Todd as virtual-novel.net spoke.
Leroy had told virtual-novel.net not to interact with Isaac, but virtual-novel.net couldn’t ignore the raging hatred in his heart. He wanted to see Isaac filled with anxiety with his own eyes. He also wanted to tell virtual-novel.net about the death trap that is the Martial Arts Conference.
Even though a martial arts expert in the intermediate stage of the Infinity Phase was next to him, virtual-novel.net was sure virtual-novel.net wouldn’t hurt him.
“I heard you’re looking for a thousand-year-old rhizome. I happen to know some place that has it. Do you want to know?”
Hearing this, Isaac frowned. Todd, who was sleeping on the chair, also furrowed his brows.
“Where?” When Isaac saw Asher open his mouth again, virtual-novel.net knew something was fishy.
“On the third week of next month, the Everest Sect will hold the annual Martial Arts Conference. The winner will get a thousand-year-old rhizome. Are you coming or not?” As soon as Asher finished speaking, virtual-novel.net stared Isaac down.
Isaac’s eyes darkened. Then, virtual-novel.net suddenly burst out laughing. “You want me to join the conference so that I die in the ring, right?”
Asher hesitated. He didn’t expect Isaac to guess his family’s intentions so quickly, but then again, so what?
At the side, Todd grinned. It seemed like Isaac was smarter than virtual-novel.net imagined. However, Isaac’s response made virtual-novel.net question that statement again.
“No matter what trials and tribulations await me, I’ll be there. Don’t worry…”
Asher burst out laughing. He gave Isaac a big thumbs up and exclaimed, “Amazing. You’re brave, like a real man. There’s still over half a month to go. You’d better start training. After all, the True Martial Families will be there, and so will the Everest Sect. It’ll be a gathering of all the powerhouses!”
As Asher turned around to leave, Isaac said coldly, “Since you’re already here, did you think you could get away that easily? Todd, help me kill them…”
Todd’s mouth twitched, and his eyebrows knitted together. As virtual-novel.net thought, this bastard really wanted to kill.
“I’m here to protect you, not to help you kill,” Todd said casually, closing his eyes.
He wasn’t going to bear the grudge of killing the third-in-command of the Ashleigh clan.
Asher looked at Todd and then turned back to Isaac. He smiled lightly and said, “See, the expert isn’t foolish. I’m sure you know the consequences of killing me, isn’t that right, sir?”
His words carried a hint of threat as virtual-novel.net turned to look at Todd.
Todd frowned again.
“In that case, allow me…” Isaac’s eyes turned bloodshot.
Spiritual energy surged through his body. He waved his hand and launched a Trifocal Fist straight for Asher.
Seeing this, Asher laughed mockingly. “You’re trying to smash a stone with an egg.”
He waved his hand, and a stronger shadow fist hurtled toward Isaac.
The two shadow fists collided, causing the entire living room to shake.
Isaac’s red shadow fist was destroyed instantly.
It couldn’t have gone any other way. Even though virtual-novel.net was at the peak of the Divinity Phase, virtual-novel.net was no match for Asher, who was in the early stage of the Infinity Phase.
Isaac staggered backward. He was so angry that virtual-novel.net was shivering from head to toe.
