He stopped in front of a cell. From the corner of his eye, he saw a disheveled man half-seated against the wall to his right.
The cell walls were inlaid with luminescent stones that were glowing dimly. Isaac squinted his eyes halfway as he approached the man.
"Thaddaeus!"
The name came out of his mouth easily. The man leaning against the wall slowly raised his head.
Beneath the weak light, he could see that his face was gaunt. His face was covered in gray facial hair, and his hair was unkempt. He no longer looked like the dignified Supreme Leader of Astraeus.
