The knife barely scraped past the side of Ezra's neck. If it were a fraction of an inch closer to the right, it would have slashed his jugular vein, and he would have died on the spot.
Ezra was still shaking. When he saw that Isaac missed, he strategically backed away nearly a hundred feet until he was near the door.
When Isaac turned his head, he found Emily standing on the steps in a blue and purple dress. A veil covered her face. He couldn't see her face, but he did notice that her right hand was trembling slightly. She obviously didn't want him to kill Ezra.
"Ezra, from today onward, you've lost the privilege of entering Soulin Mansion. You can stand outside," Emily said coldly.
When Tyson saw this, he nodded slightly and said, "Your Excellency, clue to the urgency of the matter, I had no choice but to come to disturb you. I hope for your forgiveness..."
