The next morning, Evie drove over to Louis' neighborhood. After picking him up, they headed straight to Carmine Elementary.

The car drove into the school compound, and Evie went inside to get Isabella.

After they were out of the school gates, Evie purposely got down from the car and took Isabella to a nearby toy store and bought her a teddy bear.

A man wearing a janitor's disguise was watching them from behind a tree not too far away. He immediately spoke into his earpiece in a raspy voice, "Saul, a change has been detected. Isabella Garten has left the school. A woman came to get her. There's also a man in the car. I think it's the deputy mayor, Louis Marsh."
