That night, Isaac had just reached home when he received a call from Shawn.
"Your birthday tomorrow? Dinner?" Isaac said in to the phone. "Sure, I'll make time for you and come over," Isaac agreed when he heard it was Shawn's birthday.
Next to him, Todd perked up and turned to look at Isaac with a smile. "Are we attending a birthday dinner tomorrow? I'm coming along with you!"
"We still have slabs of pork at home. What are you planning to do about it?" Isaac asked while rolling his eyes.
"It's stored in the freezer. It can last us all a long time," Todd answered. "We've got two kids at home. They need lots of protein to grow up healthily."
