After hanging up the phone, Amara sank to the floor as though all the life had been sucked out of her.
She raised her head to look at Serena, her face as pale as a sheet, smiling wryly. "Serena, your brother-in-law is right. I did my best, but there's no more hope, not even if Nick steps in..."
She then fixed Isaac with a hateful glare. Because of him, most of her life savings had gone down the drain.
As Serena watched Amara walk out of the room with a blank gaze, Serena wanted to say something, but she didn't have the courage to go after her.
"Isaac, what should we do? If we get banned, is that really the end? It doesn't really impact me, but Amara used all her savings to invest in the movie," Serena said, hopping from one foot to another anxiously, tugging on Isaac's arm.
