"That won't work. Before we surrender, those so-called powerful generals, soldiers, the Eldorado, the officials in the palace, and Sir Garten himself should be the first to submit. They should go offer their family before it's our turn as ordinary folk."

"They claim to protect us, don't they? If they're so incapable, they should submit first," said one of them, pretending to argue back, yet really just adding to the complaints.
