When Evie heard Isaac's voice outside, she hurriedly wiped away her tears. She washed her face before opening the bathroom door.
Isaac stood outside. Noticing the water droplets on Evie's face and her reddened eyes, he asked in confusion, "Why are your eyes red?"
"I got some water in my eyes while washing my face..." Evie smiled lightly and quickly walked toward the bed.
After Isaac finished washing up and was about to lie down, she suddenly said, "Isaac, could you sleep in the next room tonight? I'm feeling a bit unwell."
He nodded as he looked at Evie and the baby she was holding. He soon turned and left.
