Isaac had just lifted his fork to stab into a meatball, but he froze halfway to stare at Allegra in disbelief.

Mrs. Danson and Emily were both shocked.

When Isaac had first returned to Cloud City, Emily had wanted to keep a low profile and avoid being seen by him. Yet after witnessing many miraculous things happen, she'd later come to regret rejecting Isaac when they were still in school. However, she knew that Isaac loved his wife and daughter dearly and that they made a very happy family together.

That's why Emily never dared to let any of her true feelings for Isaac show. Most importantly, there was absolutely nothing going on between Isaac and herself.

"M-Ms. Booth, it' s not what you think it is. There's nothing between Mr. Garten and me. We're both innocent," Emily tried explaining worriedly.
