Seeing the look on Louis' face, Isaac didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He asked, "When you rose to power, didn't the government look into every person in your family tree? What do you think can corrupt someone at Maxwell's level?"

Louis had an epiphany. He looked slightly embarrassed.

"Many years ago, while Maxwell was still governing locally, Triple Threat Corporation had helped him out a great deal... Over the past decade, Maxwell had kept in touch with Adrian's grandfather, but they never had a mutually beneficial relationship."

Louis couldn't help but exclaim, "No wonder Mr. Tandel was willing to make the trip to Cloud City! But Mr. Garten, we're in the wrong for having done what we did."

To his surprise, Isaac's expression changed drastically at that. He regarded Louis coldly and said, "We might be in the wrong. But it's already a miracle that I haven't killed the people of Triple Threat Corporation who are in Elburg right now."
