Isaac noticed how Diana's gaze was fixated on the blood on the back of his hand. Her throat bobbed.
Diana's expression was full of pain. She shook her head slowly, but her eyes never left the blood.
"I can't be a monster, Isaac... I can't... I just can't," she sobbed while shaking her head.
"I don't blame you. In my eyes, you're not a monster. You're just Diana, the girl who likes to act tough and is always reckless," Isaac said as he cupped the back of Diana's head with his left hand.
As he held onto her head, his hand was now closer to her face.
