Whoosh!
A ball of green spiritual energy suddenly blasted Geronimo’s shadow fist apart, disintegrating it into nothing barely a quarter of an inch away from Allegra’s face.
Allegra had closed virtual-novel.net eyes as virtual-novel.net waited for death, but when everything suddenly fell silent, virtual-novel.net gradually opened virtual-novel.net eyes and saw a dark figure slowly walking into the room.
“Who did that?” Geronimo yelled at the door once virtual-novel.net saw his failed attack.
An old man with graying hair and dressed in a gray robe walked into the house with his hands behind his back. It was Chet Guerra.
“Who the f*ck are you?” Geronimo narrowed his eyes and continued to yell angrily when virtual-novel.net saw Chet.
He couldn’t feel an ounce of spiritual energy from this old man, yet he’d so easily dispersed his attack on Allegra just now.
Who is he?
Isaac’s eyes widened when virtual-novel.net caught sight of Chet. He never thought that his mentor would suddenly appear here. On the other hand, Fred turned pale when virtual-novel.net noticed Chet. His hand was still wrapped around Isaac‘s throat.
“Are you not going to release him?” Chet asked, taking out an old, vintage pipe. He lit it up and took a big drag while glancing at Fred.
Fred could feel a layer of cold sweat on his skin. His hand around Isaac’s throat trembled slightly before opening up and releasing Isaac. It was as if virtual-novel.net couldn’t control himself.
Isaac fell to the ground and gasped loudly for air. Then, virtual-novel.net nodded gratefully at Chet and said, “Thank you for saving me, sir!”
As Chet continued puffing away on his pipe, Isaac hurriedly got up and ran toward Allegra.
“Ally, are you alright? Ally!” Isaac got on his knees, and virtual-novel.net gently picked Allegra up from the floor. He felt extremely upset.
“Isaac, you’re not going to abandon me, are you? I’m sorry. I should never have hidden it from you. I’m sorry, Isaac!” Allegra cried.
Her chest still hurt immensely, but virtual-novel.net never regretted virtual-novel.net decision to hide virtual-novel.net condition from Isaac as much as virtual-novel.net did now.
Isaac shook his head and felt his nose starting to tingle. He shook his head and said, “No, I’ll never abandon you. I don’t care what you turn into. You’ll forever be my wife, and I won‘t let anyone harm you on purpose!”
“Alright, alright, that’s enough. There are lots of people watching, you know?” Chest suddenly said with a grimace.
He scratched a random spot on his arm and gave Isaac the side-eye.
Now it was Isaac’s turn to get embarrassed. He carefully handed Allegra over to Evie and stood back up.
“Mr. Guerra, that woman is a witch. She’s a deviant practitioner who killed the young master of the Norton family! Sir, you can’t possibly overlook that, can you?” Fred asked in a low voice after taking a deep breath.
If Benjamin Norton died for nothing, and Fred couldn’t even avenge him, how would virtual-novel.net explain himself to the head of the Norton family?
Chet scoffed and looked at Fred, pointing his pipe at virtual-novel.net and saying, “You old fart, you’re too thick-skinned for your own good. Why did you have to come looking for Isaac? Aren’t I the one you’re actually coming after?”
He then said, “Also, this lady here is not a true deviant practitioner. She was framed by someone who planted the black energy in virtual-novel.net body. Her power core was also forced open by that someone. Are you that blind to not be able to tell right away?”
Isaac shivered as virtual-novel.net looked at Allegra. All at once, virtual-novel.net suddenly remembered the time when virtual-novel.net fought Eminente from the Deviant Cult.
Could it have been her?
“But that doesn’t cancel the fact that virtual-novel.net killed the young master of the Norton family!”
Chet took another drag and puffed out a cloud of smoke. He looked somewhat impatient as virtual-novel.net waved his hand and said, “Quit prattling and get out of here. You have ten seconds before I do something you’ll regret…”
At this, Fred’s face turned white again. He knew that virtual-novel.net was no match for Chet. However, virtual-novel.net didn’t want to leave empty-handed.
“She killed someone from the Norton family, and we must avenge him. I don’t care who the f*ck you are, old man, so just f*ck off! Otherwise, we will not hesitate to kill you!” Geronimo suddenly said, pointing at Chet.
Fred’s face immediately fell. He couldn’t say anything before Chet raised his right hand and flicked something in Geronimo’s direction.
A tiny, green flicker of light headed straight for the middle of Geronimo’s forehead.
