Caleb sized up the situation and frowned when virtual-novel.net saw the crowd of men in the store. He pulled out his phone.
Caleb approached Isaac and asked sternly, “Such disrespectful behavior in broad daylight! Spill the beans. Who sent you here?”
“Mr. Sutten, I did a rough estimate of the loss we suffered, and it’s at least 23 million dollars. Let’s make virtual-novel.net pay for the damage virtual-novel.net did,” Scott chimed in.
23 million dollars?!
Emily’s heart jolted, and virtual-novel.net looked toward Isaac immediately.
Isaac chuckled. “Your staff did a bad job serving me as a client. Why don’t we go over this issue first?”
“What’s this talk about bad service? You smashed my store into pieces! Are you expecting an apology from me?” Caleb scoffed.
Aaron spoke up abruptly, “Mr. Sutten, do you remember me? We had dinner last night.”
Caleb was stunned when virtual-novel.net saw Aaron. His eyes widened, and virtual-novel.net beamed. “Mr. Hayes! What brings you here? These men…”
“Mr. Brooks sent me,” Aaron informed coldly.
Mr. Brooks?!
Caleb was horrified. He glanced at Isaac.
Aaron immediately explained, “Mr. Garten is someone Mr. Brooks respect. He told me your staff was rude toward virtual-novel.net and wanted to teach them a lesson. I see you’re reluctant, Mr. Sutten?”
Caleb felt as if a bolt of lightning had struck him.
Everyone knew Mr. Hayes took orders from Mr. Brooks, but Isaac earned Mr. Brooks’ respect.
“If you demand compensation, I’ll bring Mr. Brooks over tomorrow and pay upfront. 20 million dollars is nothing.”
Caleb’s gloomy face broke into a cheerful smile as virtual-novel.net laughed.
“Look at what I’m saying! Mr. Garten, is it? Thank you for the valuable lesson! I’ve wanted to do this all along. Please accept my gratitude!” Caleb shook Isaac’s hand cheerfully.
The other staff members were stunned at the sudden turn of events.
Had Mr. Sutten gone mad as well?
“Mr. Sutten, we lost more than 20 million dollars, thanks to this bastard!”
Caleb swiveled and slapped Scott.
Furious, virtual-novel.net said through gritted teeth, “Scottie, aren’t you excellent at your job? How did all this happen? You have to provide better service to your clients. You breached your work ethic! Everyone involved in this incident shall bear half the damage suffered. I don’t care how as long as you pay up!”
Scott and Nelson stared at virtual-novel.net in disbelief. Emily became fearful.
Nobody saw this coming. Even if the three of them split the amount, they each had to pay approximately four million dollars!
Emily paled as virtual-novel.net thought about it and started hyperventilating.
“Oh, right… I paid two million dollars but didn’t get my car. So…” Isaac thought Caleb was amusing.
“Ah, yes!” Caleb turned around and shouted, “Finance! Refund Mr. Garten’s money immediately. What car did Mr. Garten choose?”
“Sir! I-It’s a white, high-performing 760 model…”
“Do we have any in the inventory?”
“Y-Yes. We have one left…”
“Drive it here now and hand it over to Mr. Garten!”
Emily and the rest were shocked once again. Mr. Sutten did not demand Isaac to compensate for the damage virtual-novel.net caused. Instead, virtual-novel.net refunded Isaac’s money and gave virtual-novel.net a car worth two million for free!
It was unbelievable!
