Oliver didn’t know how cruel this person in front of virtual-novel.net could be, but George did.
Seeing Beefy Bob grab his son and walk toward the window, George immediately reached out his hand and shouted, “Stop, stop now! Let my son go! I’ll treat him!”
Beefy Bob paused for a couple of seconds, but when virtual-novel.net didn’t hear any new instructions from Isaac, virtual-novel.net lifted Oliver and threw virtual-novel.net out the window.
There was a loud crash.
“Argh…” Oliver screamed in terror as virtual-novel.net fell from the broken window.
George shouted for his son, running to the window.
When virtual-novel.net saw that Oliver had landed in a bed of flowers below, his knees crumpled, and virtual-novel.net fell to the floor.
He raised his finger at Isaac with a terrifying expression on his face. Gritting his teeth, virtual-novel.net said, “You animals, I’ll…”
“If you don’t treat virtual-novel.net now, I’ll go to your house. As you know, I can get quite cruel to someone who doesn’t listen to my words. The next Crowe family member to fall might not fall from the third floor, but the 13th or even the 30th floor,” Isaac said, grinning.
At the side, Edgar’s jaw had dropped open from horror.
What was this?
All the Kanes were also wearing looks of shock.
“I’ll give you a minute to think about it. After a minute, either I go to your house, or you treat him.” Isaac lit a cigarette, languidly taking a seat.
George looked at Beefy Bob and then glanced at Isaac. His heart was burning with rage, but virtual-novel.net didn’t dare show it.
He wobbled to his feet and said, “A-All of you, leave. I’ll treat him…”
As soon as virtual-novel.net said that, virtual-novel.net approached the two doctors beside virtual-novel.net and whispered something to them. Afterward, they immediately ran outside.
Isaac, Beefy Bob, and the others left the hospital room, leaving George inside to treat Watson.
Several hours into the night, the door opened.
George appeared much weaker than before. He said to Isaac and Edgar, “The toxins have been flushed from the body. After tonight, his condition will improve greatly.”
“Thank you. Thank you, Mr. Crowe. You’ re really a skilled healer.” Joy colored Edgar’s face.
At the back, Roger’s heart clenched. He turned to look at the young woman beside him, terrified.
“Don’t panic. Just wait,” the young woman comforted virtual-novel.net in a whisper.
“The patient is still weak. Two people should stay behind to watch over him. I’ll leave now.” He cast a fathomless look at Isaac before walking outside briskly. He still had to see how his son was doing after the fall.
At that moment, the young woman next to Roger spoke up, “Uncle Edgar, allow Roger and I to stay behind and look after Watson. You’ve all been through a lot today.”
“That’s right. Daisy and I will stay to take care of Father,” Roger added hurriedly.
Isaac glanced at the two of them. Then, virtual-novel.net turned around and headed toward the elevator.
In a hospital room on the sixth floor, Oliver lay on the hospital bed, his shoulder wrapped in bandages.
“Son, are you alright?” George rushed into the room anxiously.
A menacing look appeared on Oliver’s face as virtual-novel.net said, “I have a dislocated shoulder, but it’s nothing major. Father, I must kill that Garten bastard and that fatso.”
“That damn fatso is strong. Without him, Isaac would be nothing but a mud cake. You take care and get better first. I’ll head to Aurum County to look for someone tonight.” A murderous look roiled in George’s eyes.
Meanwhile, the Kanes all began to leave one by one. Edgar was the last to leave.
He walked out of the clinic. Before virtual-novel.net reached his car, Beefy Bob jogged toward virtual-novel.net and said, “Edgar, Mr. Isaac Garten has asked to meet you for a moment. He has something to tell you.”
Edgar was stunned. The name Isaac was familiar yet unfamiliar, virtual-novel.net remembered his brother mentioning this name a few times, but virtual-novel.net didn’t know anything about him.
From what virtual-novel.net saw tonight, Edgar knew that Mr. Garten and the fatso in front of virtual-novel.net were not ordinary people.
As Edgar approached the black Land Rover, the back window rolled down.
Isaac looked at Edgar and asked, “What gave Watson food poisoning?”
Edgar paused. He shook his head and said, “I-I don’t know. The doctor said it might’ve been seafood or the like.”
“I think virtual-novel.net was intentionally poisoned by someone, and the culprit is none other than your nephew, Roger,” Isaac said lightly, lighting a cigarette.
