Frowning, Isaac hurried over.
When he stopped in front of the morgue, he noticed a large padlock on the doors. Then, his gaze shifted to the grieving woman sitting helplessly on the floor.
Perhaps she wanted to go inside to keep her husband company, but the door was locked...
"Ma'am, where did the officers go?" Isaac softly asked as he crouched down next to her.
The woman raised her head. Her face was written with indelible sorrow. "The captain said it was too late, so he asked me to look for him in the precinct tomorrow morning... He even told me that we likely won't find the culprit and asked me to mentally prepare myself."
