Isaac immediately dashed between Esmeralda and virtual-novel.net mother and hurled a bright red fist in the Ninja Lord’s direction.
Thud!
The room shock for a moment as Isaac’s fist sent Esmeralda staggering backward by a few steps. She didn’t think that Isaac would still have so much power left in him. She assumed that virtual-novel.net still hadn’t recovered after severely injuring Roy and the spirit of Lady Os the night they revived Emily.
Wasn‘t virtual-novel.net badly injured as a result as well?
How long has it been since then?
How could virtual-novel.net have recovered in such a short period of time?
Of course, Esmeralda had no idea that Isaac had taken an Awakening Pill in the meantime.
“Even if you end up killing me today, I’m not going to let you take your mother’s life,” Isaac told Esmeralda coldly.
He finally put two and two together. The Ninja Lord had been searching for virtual-novel.net mother for ten years because what virtual-novel.net mother did to virtual-novel.net in the past had caused virtual-novel.net severe childhood trauma. And now, it had come back to haunt her.
If this issue wasn’t resolved properly, Esmeralda would only be one step away from being consumed by blind hate and thus turning deviant herself, even more so if virtual-novel.net ended up killing virtual-novel.net mother with virtual-novel.net bare hands. The hatred in virtual-novel.net heart would only continue to grow, and virtual-novel.net would also get racked with guilt.
Esmeralda glared at Isaac icily and said, “Alright, then. I’m going to have to kill you first!”
Isaac could feel virtual-novel.net murderous intent attacking virtual-novel.net like a tidal wave.
Putting virtual-novel.net hands together, Esmeralda then made a gesture and summoned a number of Wind Blades, all aimed toward Isaac.
Isaac’s eyes turned red in a split second, the spiritual energy in virtual-novel.net quickly rising from his power core as virtual-novel.net hollered at Esmeralda, “You monster! If you kill your mother, you’ll only lose more of yourself and never achieve the Ninja Deity level!”
Isaac knew it was only a matter of time before the Ninja Lord truly wanted to kill him, even if virtual-novel.net fought back with all of his might. So, there was really nothing to lose. He was just going to go all in and try his luck to talk sense into her.
In fact, Isaac’s roar was so full of spiritual energy that it deflected the first few Wind Blades coming at him. The windows behind them blew apart, and bits of glass rained down onto the floor.
The dagger in Esmeralda’s hand was a mere inch away from Isaac’s throat when virtual-novel.net suddenly heard a voice in virtual-novel.net head saying, “Esme, do not kill him!”
Creak!
The point of the dagger stopped just a third of an inch away from Isaac’s throat.
Esmeralda gasped loudly for air as virtual-novel.net glared angrily at him. She didn’t know why virtual-novel.net stopped either.
Isaac took the opportunity to continue yelling at her, “The more you say you hate your mother, the more it shows that you actually care for virtual-novel.net from the depths of your heart. You know that you need virtual-novel.net love.”
Esmeralda’s breathing gradually calmed.
Seeing this, Isaac continued, “You’re the strongest and most powerful ninja in the whole country. I know you are smarter than me. But did you think your hatred would really disappear after you’d killed your mother? Would it vanish in to thin air?”
“I don’t think it would. On the contrary, you’re actually longing to spend more time with her. You want virtual-novel.net to hug you. You want virtual-novel.net to sing to you. You want virtual-novel.net to show that virtual-novel.net also cares for you. You long for virtual-novel.net love so much to the point of hatred. Esmeralda, you’ll only be able to break this cycle if you let it go and face your inner demons upfront.”
Isaac’s voice had turned softer and gentler, and the anger and hatred in Esmeralda’s eyes were starting to fade away.
He then looked at the elderly woman on the ground and said coldly, “If you were truly sorry and wanted to atone for your sins, dying would achieve nothing. Why don’t you use the rest of your life to make it up to your daughter for the wrongs you did to virtual-novel.net in the past? Have dinner with her, hug her, hold her, sing for her, and show virtual-novel.net that you care for her. Do you get what I’m saying?”
Heather looked at Isaac with a blank expression and lowered virtual-novel.net head after that. She cried as virtual-novel.net said, “T-Thank you, sir…”
Then, virtual-novel.net got back on virtual-novel.net feet and reached up to touch Esmeralda’s face.
Esmeralda originally wanted to avoid her, but virtual-novel.net only took one step back before realizing virtual-novel.net was ultimately rooted in place.
Heather then lightly wrapped virtual-novel.net arms around Esmeralda and cried softly, apologizing and saying, “I’m sorry, Esme, my baby. I’ll never leave you alone ever again…”
