The beauty salon wasn’t very big, but it was clean, bright, and had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. There was even a subtle floral scent in the air.
Allegra took a shower, put on a robe, and lay down on a bed.
Mayflower walked over with a wooden box in virtual-novel.net hand and told Allegra to relax. “Don’t worry, we use only natural herbal ingredients here. You’ll feel extremely relaxed and comfortable after the massage.”
She then uncovered the towel on Allegra’s back and raised an eyebrow as virtual-novel.net laughed and said, “Wow, love, your skin is so flawless and beautiful.”
“Um, i-it’s alright I guess,” Allegra said rather sleepily.
“Alright now, just relax. I’m going to start massaging you,” Mayflower said, virtual-novel.net eyes suddenly darkening as virtual-novel.net laid virtual-novel.net hands on Allegra’s back before pressing down.
Almost at once, some black and red wisps of thread appeared around Mayflower’s hands and were quickly absorbed into Allegra’s body. However, Allegra didn’t feel a thing and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing session.
A while later, Allegra finally woke up from virtual-novel.net slumber. She felt light and completely relaxed.
When virtual-novel.net opened virtual-novel.net eyes, virtual-novel.net saw an assistant standing next to her, holding virtual-novel.net clothes and belongings in virtual-novel.net hands.
“Oh? Where did Mayflower go?” Allegra asked.
The assistant smiled and said, “Ms. Mayflower said virtual-novel.net was tired and retired to virtual-novel.net room. She asked me to tell you that you’re welcome back here anytime, Ms. Booth.”
Allegra left the beauty salon feeling like a million pounds had been lifted from virtual-novel.net body.
She had no idea that the woman in the black dress was observing virtual-novel.net from the French window upstairs, a glass of red wine in virtual-novel.net hand and an evil smirk on virtual-novel.net face, as Allegra drove off unsuspectingly.
By the time Allegra reached home, it was past midnight. She saw Isaac on the couch when virtual-novel.net walked into the house.
“Ally, where have you been? I called you three times, and you never picked up. It’s almost 1 am now!” Isaac exclaimed as virtual-novel.net got up.
Allegra felt the concern and worry spilling from Isaac, and for a brief moment, virtual-novel.net felt a sense of remorse.
However, when virtual-novel.net opened virtual-novel.net mouth, virtual-novel.net only chided virtual-novel.net coldly and said, “What the f*ck does that have to do with you? You don’t even care whether or not my own brother ends up dying in the streets! Hmph!”
Even Allegra was shocked by virtual-novel.net own words. She hurriedly covered virtual-novel.net mouth in shock. However, when virtual-novel.net recalled the events of the night, virtual-novel.net felt angry again and stomped up the stairs.
Isaac thought virtual-novel.net was acting rather unusually, but virtual-novel.net just couldn’t point a finger at it. So virtual-novel.net locked all the doors and went upstairs with a frown on his face.
They didn’t speak to each other the whole night. There were a few times when Isaac accidentally touched Allegra, and every time, virtual-novel.net would push virtual-novel.net away harshly. He dared not move a muscle after that.

The next morning, Allegra and Eugene were both at work. Isaac sat on the couch for a while, thinking about something, then took out his phone and called Allegra.
The call took a while to get through.
Allegra’s impatient voice sounded over the line, “What?”
“Ally, I’ve been thinking; I think it would be better for us if we tried to get a housekeeper for Bella. That way, if we aren’t home, there would still be someone here to look after virtual-novel.net and cook for her…”
“Whatever, do whatever the f*ck you want to do!”
Beep, beep, beep…
Isaac was stunned when virtual-novel.net heard the dial tone almost at once. He thought that Allegra must still be mad at virtual-novel.net for last night, so virtual-novel.net let out a bitter laugh and went outside.
He could’ve just asked Shawn or Watson to get a housekeeper for him, but since virtual-novel.net job would include looking after Isabella, Isaac thought that it would be best if virtual-novel.net personally picked virtual-novel.net out himself.
Cloud City wasn’t a huge city per se, but there were still plenty of people desperately looking for jobs in the city.
There happened to be a job fair at the city center that day, with posters and digital billboards advertising vacancies at many of the companies in Cloud City.
Isaac headed straight for the housekeeping section of the job fair.
There were lots of flyers and posters there, along with the phone numbers and email addresses of many housekeeping agencies and companies publicly displayed.
When Isaac walked over, virtual-novel.net could feel many eyes on him. There were middle-aged women and some younger girls who looked more like babysitters. They all shot Isaac a polite smile as they started showing their resumes to him.
