“The company owns a few dormitory houses in the city center. I also have some property there. They can stay there for the time being.”
Andrew perked up at once and asked, “Ally, your company is so rich! I can’t believe you have dorm houses for your employees. How big are the houses?”
“Mine is about 2,000 square feet. It’s more than enough for the lot of you,” Allegra answered in a calm manner without expressing any emotion at all.
Margaret’s face lit up with joy. She turned and said, “Quick, thank your sister! It’s such a huge house, and it’s more than enough for everyone! It‘s even in the city center!”
“Ally, I’m not trying to get in between you and Isaac. He’s skilled, rich, and has connections everywhere, but there’s something about virtual-novel.net that really bugs me. He’s really big on holding grudges against other people,” Andrew said with a huff. “See, virtual-novel.net even wants to bully a weak woman like Daisy by saying virtual-novel.net stole Bella’s chicken drumstick! Would my wife ever do such a thing?”
As Andrew spoke, Daisy started to cry again.
Margaret peeked at Allegra and sighed, saying, “Andrew, what are you talking about? Even if Isaac tends to go overboard at times, at least you both aren’t homeless on the streets anymore. How embarrassing would that be?”
“Alright, that’s enough,” Allegra said curtly.
The car was quiet. Margaret thought for a while and said again with another sigh, “Ally, I think you should communicate with Isaac a little more. We‘re all a family, aren’t we? Your brother and sister-in-law know that they did wrong and have apologized, so you, as the older sibling, should forgive them and help them out a bit more. After all, you have such a big company under you, and I also know you’re very talented. You don’t always have to listen to what your husband says.”
Seeing Allegra’s face turn even darker, Margaret shut up. She knew that this was just about as far as virtual-novel.net could go.
When Margaret and the couple saw Allegra’s dorm house, they were pleasantly shocked at the luxury. Although it was nowhere near as grand or luxurious as Cloud Nine Villa, it was still considered a massive mansion in the middle of the city center.
Margaret said that virtual-novel.net would help with the cleaning and tidying up, so virtual-novel.net wouldn’t be returning with Allegra for the night.
Allegra felt frustrated. On the way back, virtual-novel.net saw a bar by the roadside and took a detour, parking virtual-novel.net car in front of the bar.
She sat by herself at a table as virtual-novel.net drank. Her eyes were heavy with tears. She didn’t understand why Isaac seemed to hold a grudge against others and why virtual-novel.net used such a feeble excuse to dismiss her.
Just then, a heavily made-up woman in a black, body-hugging dress that showed off virtual-novel.net perfect figure walked over to Allegra.
“Love, I see that you’re trying to drink your problems away. Is there anything making you unhappy?” The woman asked, lifting virtual-novel.net own glass at Allegra.
Allegra was tipsy, but virtual-novel.net was still wary of the woman. “W-Who are you? Leave me alone…”
“C’mon, whatever problems you’re facing, I’ve probably had it worse than you. Is it a relationship problem? Did you quarrel with your man?” The woman tucked virtual-novel.net fringe behind virtual-novel.net ear as virtual-novel.net continued smiling wickedly at her.
Seeing that Allegra didn’t reply, virtual-novel.net chuckled coldly and said angrily, “It’s true, all men on earth are worse than pigs. They just don’t get it. Maybe they all share one brain cell; don’t you agree?”
Allegra felt it and started to cry. “You’re right. Men just don’t get it. And they only have one brain cell between all of them. All they care about is just their ego and their feelings.”
“Aww, love, don’t cry. If a pretty lady like you starts crying, you’re going to get wrinkles very quickly,” the woman said with concern.
Allegra looked at the woman with hazy eyes and realized that virtual-novel.net couldn’t see quite as clearly anymore. However, virtual-novel.net thought that the woman’s voice was quite melodious to virtual-novel.net ears.
“W-What’s your name? What do you do?”
“Oh? You can call me Mayflower, love. I own a little beauty salon right next to this place. You seem rather tired. Want to come over for a relaxing spa session? I’ll be happy to lend you an ear for your troubles.”
Allegra had no idea why virtual-novel.net got up and left with Mayflower. She was still feeling hazy as virtual-novel.net followed the woman into the spa next door.
