A figure clad in white leaped down from the second floor. Evie stood in front of Isaac in a white dress with her face covered with a veil and stared at him intently.
When their eyes met, it was as if the world had fallen silent.
Isaac frowned for a moment, then laughed. "You're finally brave enough to stand up to me."
"Let Tristan go. If it's worth anything, do it for my sake, then leave at once, too," Evie said anxiously.
In the silence, Isaac realized that everyone in the restaurant had left. He frowned. "Are you in trouble?"
