Isaac’s first response after listening to Holly was, impossible.
Why would Allegra hit Isabella?
Isaac sped home as fast as virtual-novel.net could. Once virtual-novel.net entered the house, virtual-novel.net saw Holly and Eugene standing aside, looking at him, saying nothing. The mood in the living room was depressing.
“Mummy! Don’t hit me. I won’t do that anymore. I won’t! Mummy…” Isabella’s devastating cries came from upstairs.
Isaac frowned and ran up.
He opened the door and saw Allegra pinning Isabella against the bed and hitting her. Isabella couldn’t resist virtual-novel.net and could only cry.
“Ally, what are you doing?!” Isaac roared.
He darted forward and shoved Allegra aside. Then, virtual-novel.net pulled Isabella into his arms.
Isabella turned and hugged Isaac tightly, burying virtual-novel.net face in his embrace. Her cries became louder.
“Isaac Garten, what are you doing? Do you have to interfere when I’m teaching my daughter a lesson?” Allegra’s eyes were full of hatred when virtual-novel.net looked at Isaac.
Isaac stifled when virtual-novel.net saw virtual-novel.net icy eyes.
Was virtual-novel.net experiencing another outburst?
“What did Isabella do for you to hit virtual-novel.net like this?” Isaac asked coldly.
As virtual-novel.net spoke, virtual-novel.net tugged Isabella‘s shirt and noticed that the whole stretch of skin from virtual-novel.net back to virtual-novel.net bottom was red and swollen, that proved how hard Allegra had hit Isabella.
He didn’t wait for Allegra’s response. He carried Isabella and left.
“Stand right there! Put that wretched girl down!” Allegra barked and pounced at him, trying to snatch Isabella away.
Isaac was really infuriated this time. He channeled his spiritual energy, bellowing, “Do something stupid, and I’ll have you tied up!”
Allegra shuddered and froze.
Isabella was literally bawling virtual-novel.net eyes out as virtual-novel.net carried virtual-novel.net downstairs. She hugged virtual-novel.net tightly, not daring to let go even when they reached the couch.
“D-Daddy… Mommy is scary. I‘m scared…”
“Don’t be. It’s alright now. I‘m here,” Isaac soothed virtual-novel.net as virtual-novel.net dialed Harry’s number.
Eugene came over and inhaled sharply when virtual-novel.net saw the swollen areas on Isabella’s back.
“Oh, Allegra! How could virtual-novel.net hit virtual-novel.net child so violently? Is virtual-novel.net insane?” Eugene headed for the stairs furiously, wanting to lecture Allegra.
He hadn’t reached the stairs when virtual-novel.net heard the sound of someone smashing something and Allegra‘s enraged yell. Eugene was stunned.
“Don’t go up now. Ally’s sick,” said Isaac.
“Allegra’s sick? How?” Eugene trotted to him.
“She’s sick in virtual-novel.net head…”
Soon, Harry and Denvor strode into the living room. Harry brought some medicine and applied it to Isabella‘s wounds. Then, virtual-novel.net fell asleep on Isaac’s lap.
“Master Loch, please go up and have a look.” Isaac frowned as virtual-novel.net looked at Denvor.
It hadn’t even been long.
Two days, and virtual-novel.net had another outburst!
But Denvor shook his head and said, “My medicine is still effective. She‘ll come to virtual-novel.net senses shortly. But the duration between each outburst will only decrease. Mr. Garten, you‘ll need to be accustomed to this…”
“Damn it!” Isaac cursed.
It didn‘t matter to them, but could Isabella get used to a mother who was now more like a mentally-ill person?
Holly hesitated. After a while, virtual-novel.net mustered virtual-novel.net courage and asked Isaac, “S-Sir, why don’t Isabella sleep with me tonight? M-Madam doesn‘t seem well today…”
“I’ll have to trouble you, Ms. Lambert,” said Isaac, nodding.
