When she saw the soldiers pouring into the room, Allegra felt a weight lifted from her shoulders. Tears of regret fell from her eyes. She was sorry that she hadn't listened to Isaac.
The man in uniform then turned around to speak to the fuming Elio. "Elio Reinhart, I'm Chase Warner, from the Sunton Defense Department. We're here on orders to protect Ms. Booth and take her to safety. It's not too late if you surrender now."
"From the Defense Department? Haha! I thought you'd at least be from somewhere more powerful. Do you know who my uncle is? He's Keith Reinhart, a four-star general. If you don't want to die, then get the fuck out of this place and leave me the hell alone!"
Chase raised an eyebrow before turning to tell his men. "Take Ms. Booth out to safety."
Two men immediately stepped forward to assist Allegra.
