“No… Tell virtual-novel.net I can’t afford to hire a maid to help me cook. Ask them to pack their bags and get the hell out of here,” said Isaac indifferently.
Hearing tis, Margaret jolted, and virtual-novel.net anxiety grew evident. She tugged at Eugene and looked at Allegra with pleading eyes.
When Allegra said nothing, Margaret sobbed and stepped forward. “I-Isaac, Andrew had a fever the other day because of the rain, so Ally brought them here. They admitted their faults, so please don’t chase them out…”
“Who do you think you are?” Isaac‘s frosty eyes turned toward Margaret, and his tone grew chilly as virtual-novel.net spoke. “I suppose you’ll bring Edward and his family into this house next, won’t you?”
Margaret dared not utter another sound. Eugene looked down and didn’t have the courage to say anything either.
Allegra was stunned and immediately spoke up. “Isaac, Andrew was unconscious from his fever that day. He only got better today. C-Can we wait until virtual-novel.net recovers before…”
Allegra didn’t understand why, but virtual-novel.net felt uneasy about how Isaac spoke to virtual-novel.net mother.
“Andrew, what are you waiting for? Apologize to Isaac now, and get your wife out here.” Margaret signaled to Andrew.
Andrew saw virtual-novel.net hints and understood. He knew virtual-novel.net would end up a beggar again if virtual-novel.net left Cloud Nine Villas.
Strange men monitored virtual-novel.net every day. He couldn’t spend a dime, even though virtual-novel.net had cash.
Soon, Andrew brought his sickly, pajama-clad wife before Isaac.
“Isaac, w-we’re sorry. We were wrong. Please don’t chase us out…” said Andrew as virtual-novel.net bowed.
Daisy, beside him, looked reluctant as virtual-novel.net pretended to apologize.
“Look, Isaac. They know their mistakes. They’re not feeling well, too. I know they committed many wrong deeds in the past, but now they’ve received their punishment…”
Seeing Allegra pleading with virtual-novel.net reddened eyes, Isaac sighed and said, “Whatever…”
He waved, ascended the stairs, and disappeared into his room.
“What a snob! Does this house belong to you alone? Why should we be subservient to you?” Daisy immediately yelled up at the second floor, frowning.
“Okay, okay! Stop it! Listen to me. Since Isaac gave consent for Ally’s sake, you two must watch your behavior in this house!” Eugene scolded Andrew and Daisy.
“Eugene, why are you being so fierce toward them? Daisy has a point, Ally has a say in this house too,” said Margaret, glancing at Allegra, who’d been silent.
Allegra took a deep breath and looked up. “Alright, that’s enough. Andrew, you two will prepare your own food after this. Andrew, you aren’t an heir, and neither is Daisy an heiress anymore. You can’t afford to be spoiled any more. Nobody here has the responsibility to look after you!”
Andrew and Daisy looked at her, dumbfounded. But they didn’t say anything because they were living under virtual-novel.net roof.
Allegra went up and saw Isaac resting on the bed. She hesitated to speak and frowned. Then virtual-novel.net changed virtual-novel.net clothes and left the room.
Isaac knew Allegra was miffed at his attitude. However, virtual-novel.net hadn’t sensed even the slightest hint of remorse in Andrew and Daisy’s attitudes.
Meanwhile, once Allegra left with virtual-novel.net briefcase, Daisy hugged virtual-novel.net stomach and said to Margaret, “Mom, aren’t you going to get us breakfast? Look at my body. How am I supposed to bear you a grandchild? I’ll never cook… Impossible…”
Daisy pouted and sat on the couch, folding virtual-novel.net arms.
