"Harper Booth! You've been avoiding us and didn't even pick up your phone. I thought you were dead." One of the thugs gave him a shove.
"Oh, Mr. Mabins. It is my birthday today, and I have many guests over. So, I didn't hear my phone ringing. I'm sorry," Harper apologized humbly.
Mr. Mabins scoffed. "Stop wasting our time and give me the money. Our boss made it clear that you should pay by today. If you can't pay, then you shall suffer the consequences."
