Diana couldn't help feeling a shiver down her spine as she recalled Allegra's frightening pitch-black eyes. She felt her nose starting to tingle, but she suppressed her feelings and told her officers to retreat.
She couldn't believe that she'd gone to such lengths for nothing. She'd even dispatched the helicopter and lost a few officers as well. Diana had no idea how she was going to report to her supervisor. If Allegra pressed charges on her, things would get even messier and harder to justify.
Was this a sign that she should just give up?
The living room was quiet once again. Isaac saw that Allegra's eyes had turned red, so he went over and hugged her gently.
He comforted her, saying, "Alright, don't be mad anymore. I'll go and get an explanation from Louis himself..."
