All the houses were no more than three stories high, but they were all quite spacious. There were very few luminescent stones on the street, and the patrolling soldiers carried torches, wearing armor that made a clicking sound as they walked by quickly.
There weren't many pedestrians on the street. The clothes they wore were quite different from those in the Seraphym Dynasty. Men, women, and children all had either white or black headpieces on, moving briskly.
Isaac and Skylar found a place to eat and stay, but then they suddenly realized that the gold tickets they had could potentially reveal their identities.
"I have this!" shouted Skylar as she pulled an irregularly shaped gold nugget from her sleeve outside the beer bar.
"I'm clever, aren't I?" Skylar said as she took out an embroidered cloth bag from behind her waist and dangled it in front of Isaac. "Oh wow, there must be several pounds of gold nuggets in here!"
