In the pouring rain, the black Land Rover sped on the highway toward Layton. Isaac had a grave expression on his face.

Before he left, he had asked Louis to send an investigation task force to Layton Bush Elementary School, where the incident occurred. He also called Claude at the surveillance station and urged him to search for any information relating to the school.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Todd held half of a meatloaf in his hand and nibbled on it as he said, "Don't worry. Maybe Kai is just skipping school for fun!"

Seeing Isaac's serious expression, Todd joked around to comfort him.

"It's not possible for eight kids to sneak out together. Besides, we found nothing in the school surveillance, and the surrounding cameras didn't capture any footage of those kids leaving. It's probably not that simple," Isaac said coldly.
