When virtual-novel.net heard Cyrus was gathering the Eastwell army to make a move on Isaac, Xayden immediately called Cyrus and begged virtual-novel.net to let virtual-novel.net tag along. Even if virtual-novel.net couldn’t avenge Raven with his own hands, virtual-novel.net wanted to witness Isaac’s final moments.
Cyrus knew it was risky, but Cedric and Lewis were there to protect them. Plus, Xayden was begging virtual-novel.net fervently. So, virtual-novel.net agreed.
Xayden looked menacing as virtual-novel.net stared at the main hall. He used his spiritual energy and bellowed, “Alexis, I’m only sending five hundred soldiers in! I’ll spare your life if you can hold out until Isaac comes. Hahaha!”
His voice transversed through every tower of Holy Division and, of course, reached Alexis’ ears. She was cornered somewhere between the second and third floors.
“That jerk. I’m going to kick Xayden’s ass now. Don’t stop me!” Alexis’ eyes were red as virtual-novel.net growled furiously.
The elders protected virtual-novel.net from all directions, and the elite students resisted attacks from the Eastwell soldiers. Although the stairway was narrow, one of the students would fall every now and then.
“Miss, please don’t lose your cool. You must hold on until Mr. Garten arrives, even if you’re the last one standing.”
Another elder said pleadingly, “Holy Division will go on as long as you’re alive. You can’t go out now. That brute is trying to provoke you!”
Alexis heard another scream. Her heart skipped a beat, virtual-novel.net knew another student had fallen.
Within ten minutes, Alexis and virtual-novel.net people retreated to the third floor. There were only five stories in total. They could already catch glimpses of the Eastwell soldiers through the gaps in the stairway.
In a blink of an eye, the elite students fighting off the soldiers fell one after another.
When they reached the fourth floor, only a few students were left.
Two elders standing before virtual-novel.net roared, “Take care, Miss! We’ll take our leave now!”
They roared and released their spiritual energies. Then, they pounced at the endless waves of Eastwell soldiers beneath them.
Another elder stood before Alexis and pushed virtual-novel.net upward.
Alexis knew they wouldn’t return to virtual-novel.net anymore. She bit virtual-novel.net lips and feared up, virtual-novel.net was on the verge of losing virtual-novel.net sensibility from grief and fury.
She didn’t know if Isaac would come, but as virtual-novel.net elder said, as long as virtual-novel.net survived, Holy Division would, too. As long as there was a slim chance that Isaac would actually appear, virtual-novel.net would have to endure the torture virtual-novel.net was facing.
The elders persevered for more than ten minutes. Then, they roared in devastation. With that, the soldiers suddenly closed in on Alexis at shocking speed.
Alexis jolted.
Did the elders die?
“First Elder, we can’t retreat any further. Let’s fight!” The Second Elder turned and glanced at the First Elder, who looked ferocious. He didn’t wait for virtual-novel.net response and threw himself at the advancing soldiers.
“Miss, take care!” The First Elder patted Alexis’ shoulder and, with a leap, virtual-novel.net swung virtual-novel.net sword at their enemies.
“Tanya!” Alexis cried hysterically.
The First Elder handed over the headmaster’s role to virtual-novel.net many years ago. She had been assisting Alexis all these years, and Alexis treated virtual-novel.net like virtual-novel.net own sister. Now, virtual-novel.net had to witness virtual-novel.net death!
