The old man who had grabbed Cassius was wearing a military uniform.
His name was Victor Lynn, and he was one of the four commanders during Arian's reign. After Arian passed, Victor knew that a new supreme commander would be selected amongst them. His ranking was rather behind, so he knew he had no hope. Thus, he began betting on Cassius to be promoted. He also supported him greatly.
Later, it would be proven that Victor's bet was correct. After Cassius took over the position, he had climbed up two ranks.
But he was different from the other commanders. Victor had served Arian for a very long time. He knew that back then, Isaac had even gone overseas just to save the former supreme commander.
Victor still had a deep fondness for the old supreme commander. Deep down, he didn't wish for Cassius and Isaac to butt heads. Furthermore, Isaac had far more achievements and merits than Cassius.
