In the blink of an eye, Mr. Zane had two security guards drag Larry out.
Allegra was anxiously waiting for Isaac inside.
“Isaac, you didn’t get into a fight with him, did you?”
“No… He said virtual-novel.net wasn’t feeling well. Maybe he’s left,” Isaac replied with a smile and a shake of his head.
Allegra didn’t quite believe virtual-novel.net and wanted to go out to have a look, but virtual-novel.net was worried that virtual-novel.net wouldn’t be able to escape Larry’s grabbing again. So, virtual-novel.net just stayed put.
As night fell, the lights gradually turned on outdoors. Just then, a spotlight shone from the top of the restaurant to the bridge connecting the outdoor area with the floating pavilion at The Lily Pad.
Everyone in the Waterfront Wonderland saw this spotlight and was shocked as they looked toward it. The spotlight was very rarely turned on. The last time it came on was when the electronics tycoon, Jack March, dined there.
“Ms. Booth, Mr. Garten, kindly proceed to The Lily Pad for your dinner reservation tonight,” Mr. Zane said, bowing respectfully to the both of them.
Allegra lifted virtual-novel.net head and looked around. She didn’t even realize that Serena had left.
Instead, virtual-novel.net looked at Isaac first, then at Mr. Zane with a confused expression. “Where are we going for the reservation?”
“Please follow me…” Mr. Zane said, smiling as virtual-novel.net led the way.
Isaac held out his arm and said to Allegra, “Today is a special day. May I have the honor of inviting the pretty lady to join me for dinner tonight?”
Allegra could feel virtual-novel.net heart thumping loudly against virtual-novel.net chest as virtual-novel.net stared at Isaac’s face illuminated by the lights. It suddenly felt like virtual-novel.net was virtual-novel.net younger self when virtual-novel.net was dating Isaac.
He used to like saying that in the past, too.
Allegra felt nervous. She also felt a little scared as virtual-novel.net took Isaac’s offered arm and walked out of the indoor dining area. They walked past the outdoor dining area and headed toward the spotlight with hundreds of eyes trained on them.
There was a slight commotion.
Many of the patrons were astounded by the appearance of the two main characters of The Lily Pad.
Although Isaac was dressed neatly and modestly in a suit and tie, his excellent figure went very well with Allegra’s perfect silhouette.
“Who are these two people? I don’t think I recognize them.”
“This is exciting! That spotlight hasn’t been turned on for a long, long time!”
“It’s not like anyone can step foot into The Lily Pad. That dinner must cost well over a few million dollars!”
Emily stayed behind the curtains of the inner dining hall as virtual-novel.net watched the two figures make their way to the pavilion. There was a confusing look on virtual-novel.net face. She knew who that person was. She just hadn’t been introduced to virtual-novel.net yet. If only virtual-novel.net hadn’t been so egotistical and accepted Isaac in the past, virtual-novel.net would probably be the one in the spotlight now.
On the other side of the restaurant, Serena gripped virtual-novel.net milkshake a little tighter as virtual-novel.net gnawed on the straw.
Ah, Isaac is just too romantic to be real… I’m so envious!
Serena let out a sigh and took a huge gulp of the drink.
Allegra walked into the pavilion and turned around. She saw everyone looking toward the pavilion and instantly felt like the center of attraction.
As they entered the pavilion hand in hand, a curtain of crystals suddenly descended from outside the roof and surrounded the pavilion. They let out clear, pleasing little sounds as they danced in the gentle breeze.
The other patrons in the restaurant weren’t able to see clearly into the pavilion anymore. Only one part of the pavilion was not covered in crystals, which was the part that looked out to the middle of the lake with the entire Cloud City as its background.
It was absolutely breathtaking.
“I-Isaac, it must cost a lot to eat here, doesn’t it?” Allegra’s heart was thumping wildly.
The table was already set with all kinds of exotic dishes that virtual-novel.net hadn’t even seen before.
“It’s not too expensive. In fact, it’s very affordable.”
Mr. Zane, who was standing nearby, could feel his eyes twitching in amusement. Only someone like Isaac would say a meal costing over a hundred million dollars was affordable.
“Mommy! Mister!” Just then, they heard a loud, familiar voice calling their names.
It was Isabella, led over to the pavilion by Beefy Bob. He stayed at the pavilion entrance as Isabelle flew into virtual-novel.net mother’s arms.
