Allegra didn’t answer. Instead, virtual-novel.net turned to Isaac and asked, “What is the Martial Arts Showdown? Is it dangerous?”
“It’s just a typical martial arts convention, nothing dangerous. You don’ t have to go tomorrow. You should go to Isabella’s school to check on her,” Isaac replied with a smile.
Allegra went upstairs, feeling dubious.
On the other hand, Eugene regarded virtual-novel.net seriously and said, “Isaac, are they going to make a move on you?”
“I don’t know. Most likely.” Isaac took out a pack of cigarettes and handed one to Eugene.
The two of them smoked together. Eugene then sighed. “I know the Owens family, the Gould family, and Mr. Nox want to take you down. You’ll be surrounded on all sides.”
“Eugene, do you know why I managed to return alive?” Isaac smiled at his father-in-law.
“Why?”
“Because I crawled my way back from the depths of hell, stepping on the corpses of others with every step… Go and get some rest, Margaret won’t be coming home tonight.”
With that, Isaac retired to his room.
Watching Isaac’s back, Eugene frowned harder and let out another big sigh.

The next afternoon, Beefy Bob drove his car out of his bungalow in Cloud City. He was on the way to meet with Isaac at Riverview.
Isaac was in a foul mood. He wanted to spill blood tonight.
As soon as Beefy Bob’s Jeep left, a black Mercedes Benz parked behind the house lowered its window to reveal Charles’ face. He took out his phone and said coldly, “The target has left. Get into motion.”
Next to him, Edward smiled viciously and said, “Young Master Charlie, once this fatso is dead, then Isaac will become a dog without its teeth tonight.”
Beefy Bob slowed to a stop at a traffic light. He peered into the rearview mirror and frowned. The small van behind virtual-novel.net had been following virtual-novel.net for quite a distance now.
The light turned green, and Beefy Bob stepped on the gas. Then, virtual-novel.net realized the van behind virtual-novel.net had also accelerated to catch up with him.
Beefy Bob snorted coldly. He stepped on the pedal heavily, the car roaring as it shot forward.
At that moment, another Jeep from the opposite lane suddenly went against traffic and sped toward him.
An attempt to sandwich him?
A chill reflected in Beefy Bob’s gaze. With an angry yell, virtual-novel.net braced himself to open the door and jump out. But when virtual-novel.net turned to his left, virtual-novel.net saw another Jeep run a red light and speed toward him.
The four vehicles collided, emitting a thunderous crash. Beefy Bob’s car was crushed beyond recognition, thick clouds of smoke rising from it.

At 3.30 pm, Isaac glanced at the clock and frowned. He took out his phone to dial Beefy Bob’s number, but there was no answer. This almost never happened.
He furrowed his eyebrows. At that moment, virtual-novel.net received a phone call.
Isaac put the phone to his ear, and Diana’s urgent voice reached his ears. “Isaac, is your friend a fattie named Bobby?”
“What’s the matter?”
“He was in a serious car accident and is now undergoing emergency treatment at the Cloud City Hospital. We haven’t been able to get in touch with his family. You’d better come over quickly.”
A serious car accident?
Emergency treatment?
Half an hour later, Isaac arrived at the hospital’s emergency department. He spotted Diana in a conversation with two uniformed men.
“Where is he? And what the hell happened?” Isaac grabbed Diana’s shoulder.
Diana frowned and said, “What are you doing? That hurts.”
She took out virtual-novel.net phone as virtual-novel.net spoke. “He’s still being treated. He’s lost a lot of blood. Let me show you the surveillance footage from the scene. There are too many questionable things about the crime scene, so leave this case to us.”
As Isaac watched how Beefy Bob’s car was crushed from three sides in the footage, murderous intent flooded his eyes. “This is not an accident, it’s murder. Where are the other drivers?”
“Two of them are unconscious. The other one is being interrogated, but virtual-novel.net refuses to admit to anything. He maintains that virtual-novel.net simply got distracted.”
Isaac smiled coldly. “Distracted? That would be a huge coincidence, no? Take me to that driver.”
