Security was the weakest at the western entrance to Everest Sect. The exit led out straight to the cliffs, after all. Anyone who didn't achieve at least the Divinity Stage wouldn't reach the entrance without using up all their energy.

The four guards at the entrance were chatting away at their stations. The ground was higher where they were, which meant the scenery outside was a lot nicer.

There was a sudden bone-chilling wave of spiritual energy coming from the outside. One of the guards noticed it first and glanced out. But before he could speak, a blue spiritual wolf had pounced on him. Then, the wolf exploded, killing that guard at once.

Elliot and Mitchell appeared first. The other guards who watched their colleague get killed summoned their powers in a hurry. But they were too late. Elliot and Mitchell got to them first and wrung their necks in half.

These guards were quite powerful in the ancient martial arts world. But they were no match for anyone who achieved the Celestial Phase.
