The old abbot looked back as he was grinning. He then said with a smile, “You have superb skills, Mr. Mayo! To be honest with you, I did not believe that you could cure the ancient tree yesterday. It seems that I was blind, as I did not recognize you as the saint that you are!”
Thomas waved his hand. “You’re embarrassing me, old abbot...”
“Come now. Why are you feeling embarrassed? Know this, Mr. Mayo, I’ve invited over hundreds of experts and professors before you to treat the tree. But all of them failed! I was on the verge of giving up! Mr. Mayo, you truly are the benefactor of Harmony Monastery!”
The old abbot would have thrown himself on the ground before Thomas if not for his old age.
Thomas was scared out of his wits and held the old abbot up to avoid any awkward situations from happening.
