Adery was holding Thomas’ arm tightly, and she was shaking a little. She whispered, “This man looks so scary. He doesn’t seem like a good person. Thomas, you have to be careful.”
Thomas did not say anything else. He just led Adery in. His experiences all these years told him that there was really something wrong with Caleb. Thomas was clearly not the target of the invitation card he received, it was Adery.
The other men in their surroundings gazed at them like they were watching a show, which only further proved it.
After they entered the lobby, they seemed to step into another world.
