In the blink of an eye, time passed.
The ‘Scepter of Athena’ project conference led by the Science and Technology Alliance was held the next afternoon. All of the executives from major corporations who had a certain standing in Central City had arrived. Despite the fact that not everyone was interested in that project, they attended the conference to show respect to the Science and Technology Alliance because of their official standing.
People began arriving one after the other. There were rows upon rows of seats. The huge arena was fully crowded. Many business directors took advantage of the opportunity to exchange business cards and become familiarised with other directors.
Sterling Technology and Pivot Technology were the only two companies that stand out among so many others. Both of these companies were extremely powerful at the time, and they served as the "face" of Central City. Even though Pivot Technology’s stock had fallen off sharply earlier due to some negative news, the company’s hard power remained, and it swiftly recovered. Today, both companies sent their top executives.
The chairman of Sterling Technology, Thomas, attended the conference with the head of the R&D department, Cancer, while the chairman of Pivot Technology, Master Centipede, attended with the general manager, Laura, and an unidentified sickly looking man.
