In the police station’s small dark room, Thomas sat in the iron chair alone. A while later, the door was opened, and a man walked inside. The man was the deputy director of that precinct, Aden Hartley. He instantly sat opposite Thomas, seriously stared at him for a few seconds, and burst out laughing.
“God of War, did you get arrested? Haha! If our superiors discover this, they would laugh their butts off.”
Thomas sighed and said, “Stop joking. How’s the investigation? What’s going on?”
Aden said, “I already investigated it thoroughly, but God of War, you’ll have to treat me to a meal later. I put in a lot of effort for you.”
Thomas chuckled in resignation. “Okay, you can eat anything you want.”
