This made Thomas very embarrassed. He sat on the chair and lowered his head. He almost did not have the courage to look around. Thomas had been through a lot of hardships, but his only weakness might be that he felt shy when he was complimented by these senior family members. This made him feel more awkward than when he was insulted.

Emma nudged Thomas. She giggled and said, “Are you feeling shy? It’s unlike you.”
