Thomas smiled bitterly as he shook his head. He examined everything to see if all the food was fine while he said, “If you just wanted to treat me, you didn’t have to prepare so much food because I don’t have such a huge appetite.”
The assessment was then completed.
“There’s no problem with the food. We can eat now.”
“Okay!”
It was the first time that Daisy and Thomas sat across from each other on opposite sides of the table, and they ate together. The two of them did not have any common topics to discuss, and the atmosphere got really awkward.
