Thomas fished out his phone and dialed Ryan Hudson’s number.
“Hey, Ryan, help me out with something. I’d like to have Grand Metro Garden’s sticky toffee pudding, so please help me invite their chef to Everlast Restaurant, booth number six, and have them personally prepare the pudding for us.”
“Roger that. It’ll be done in 15 minutes.”
After getting off the phone, Thomas looked at everyone and calmly said, “15 minutes, and the chef would be here to personally prepare the pudding for us. Please wait for a moment.”
Everyone in the room erupted into laughter, this time mockingly.
’15 minutes?’
‘Hahaha, that was hilarious!’
Even if you wanted to make a reservation for the chef, you would have to wait ten days to six weeks. Not to mention that Thomas was just a small employee, who had no qualifications to reserve.
“Hey, you’re quite the actor huh?” Clayton mocked.
Thomas just smiled and said nothing.
15 minutes passed by quickly and as everyone sat in their seats and scrolled through their phones, suddenly, they heard a series of surprised shouts from outside the booth.
One of the people shouted, “Isn’t that the chef from Grand Metro Garden? What brings virtual-novel.net to Everlast Restaurant?!”
Everyone in the booth was shocked when they heard the shout. One after the other, they all got up and went outside. Clayton could not sit still, so virtual-novel.net too got up and went outside to have a look.
Thomas sat in his chair, and as virtual-novel.net took a bite of the food virtual-novel.net asked Emma, “You’re hungry, aren’t you? Just sit for a while, the pudding will be served soon.”
“Did you actually manage to invite the chef over?” Emma said with excitement
“Yup.”
“How did you do that?”
“Because Grand Metro Garden’s chef is good friends with Griffin Jones of Swan Restaurant. And Chef Jones and I are sworn friends. So, everyone knows one other, so it was just a bunch of buddies helping each other out.” Thomas explained with a smile.
Emma was quite shocked.
Although Thomas was not much, his friends were all pretty darn cool.
She pouted and said, “You should learn more from your friends, you can’t be a normal employee for the rest of your life, right?”
“Haha, okay, I know…”
While the two were chatting, one after the other, Clayton and the others entered the room and returned to their seats. Some people were excited. Some appeared gloomy and sad-looking.
All color drained from Clayton’s face as never would virtual-novel.net have thought that Grand Metro Garden’s chef really showed up!
He got all cocky when virtual-novel.net only ordered a few plates of Grand Metro Garden pudding. Who knew Thomas had the ability to invite their chef and have the pudding prepared on the spot?
The difference was unfathomable.
The more virtual-novel.net humiliated Thomas just now, the more virtual-novel.net felt embarrassed right now.
He just could not comprehend how Thomas, a low-wage office worker with a monthly salary of barely eight thousand dollars, was able to invite a world-renowned master chef?
Totally unreasonable!
Not waiting for virtual-novel.net to react, the waiters were already walking in and placing plates upon plates of pudding on the table. Looking at the pudding, it was well portioned and simply looked mouthwatering.
These puddings all appeared to be ‘glowing’ because they were fresh out of the oven, unlike the soggy pudding before, and it was drool-inducing with just one look.
Thomas ‘let bygones be bygones’ and told the waiters to serve a plate of pudding in front of everyone, including Clayton.
“What are you all looking at? You can start eating now, it wouldn’t be quite as good if it’s cold,” said Thomas.
With that being said, everyone hurriedly picked up their spoons and began eating.
Delicious!
Simply scrumptious!
Everyone, especially Emma, had a bright smile on their faces. She pushed aside the plate of pudding served just now and happily ate the other plate of freshly made pudding, enjoying it very much.
Clayton was the only one in the room who appeared to be in a bad mood. He stared at the pudding in front of him, unsure if virtual-novel.net wanted to eat it or not.
It sucks!
