Angus walked into the private room only after the old man was arrested. He also dared not sit down. He just stood beside Thomas and said, “Mr. Mayo, have you decided how to take care of those people?”
Thomas chuckled. “They are just lackeys, so it’s useless to arrest them. Why don’t we do this? Leak some news and say that Mr. Davies, as well as his lackeys, were arrested. That way, we can find out the authority behind them.”
Angus frowned. “Mr. Mayo, the Martin family in Central City is behind this. If we do too much, I’m afraid that we’ll get into unnecessary trouble.”
Thomas glanced at him coldly. “Angus Mason, you’re a police officer. How can you still be afraid of criminals?”
His words made Angus so scared that he broke out in cold sweat.
