When Thomas looked up, he saw Laura standing there, gazing at him coldly. Thomas could see what was going on as he looked at Daisy and then Laura.
Daisy appeared to have invited him to dinner, but Laura actually wanted to meet with him. Because meeting him was inconvenient, she had devised this plan to meet him.
Daisy whispered, "Please accept my apologies, Mr. Mayo. I was the one who deceived you. Sister Laura said you were in danger of dying, so I had to call you over no matter what. She has a very important message for you!"
‘My life is in danger? So dramatic?’
Thomas nodded, "Then let’s hear exactly how my life is in danger."
