The following day, about one in the afternoon.
Central City had anticipated a major rearrangement of forces because Sterling Technology’s development was unfavorable, and the company’s chairman, Thomas, filed for bankruptcy. Sterling Technology would only exist as a name in history from now on.
Thomas had flipped the entire Central City over in the short time of nine months, but he still could not beat Nicholas, and one by one, he stepped into the traps Nicholas had designed. He was completely defeated.
Without showing any emotion, Thomas stood in front of the windows on the second floor of the Sterling Technology building and watched as the employees left one by one.
There was no sadness that could compare to absolute despair. The most painful sadness was always difficult to express and could not be conveyed through tears. And then, on this of all days, an unexpected visitor showed up, and it was Nicholas.
