Thomas did not speak. He knew that Richard did not ask him to stay because he wanted to say those empty words.

Richard paused for a few seconds and continued, “But Thomas, I think you’ve misunderstood something.”

Thomas frowned. “What is it?”

“Have you ever thought why you’re still a poor husband without property and still relying on your wife even though you’re so capable? Your racing skills, your combat ability, and even your strong determination are outstanding, but you just can’t be successful. Do you know why?”
