In Art Trading Corporation’s meeting room, the deputy chairman, Bernard, was holding a dagger and peeling an apple. He did it in a circular motion, round and round, so that the skin did not break.
Knock, knock, knock...
There were a few knocks at the door.
“Come in...”
The meeting room’s door was pushed open with a squeak, and the secretary escorted Granny Wolf in. Granny Wolf was also holding a swaddled baby, who appeared to be no more than two months old. Once he saw the baby, Bernard was so excited he could barely sit still. He jumped up with shaky hands and rushed to stand in front of Granny Wolf, his eyes wide with excitement as he looked at the infant.
